There are many practices for stress relief, like meditating, journaling, and deep breathing. But one underrated technique deserves our attention: humor!

Humor helps with stress reduction by relaxing muscles, eliminating distressing emotions, and adding perspective. Here are 3 tips for using it to your benefit:

One, access your favorite quick humor. In other words, pull up your favorite funny YouTube video or bloopers from your favorite TV show that guarantee some laughs.

Two, tell a joke. Chances are, a friend or coworker could use a little comic relief, too. Share a go-to joke to reduce stress and boost morale all around.

Three, find the funny in your everyday. Start looking for the humor that surrounds you like funny headlines, cheesy billboards, and misspelled signs.

These three tips will help you experience humor and relieve stress.
