You know those days when you go to work and leave feeling totally unaccomplished? Prevent that from happening ever again, with our 4 life hacks for being more productive.

One, eliminate any obvious distractions. As tempting as it might be to keep your phone on your desk, keep it out of sight. Also, close out of any unnecessary tabs on your computer, like Facebook, Pinterest, even a google doc that is no longer relevant. And if chatter amongst your coworkers is bothering you, put in your earphones.

Two, assign yourself deadlines. Don’t wait until the day before a project is due to get started on it. Instead, split it up into sections to complete every couples days and assign each section a due date.

Three, focus on one task at a time. Multitasking is a myth! You might think you’re doing a lot of things at once, but you’re really just switching your attention from one task to another really quickly. When you’re at the office, try to focus all of your efforts on one task at a time instead.

Four, tell yourself that you’re going to be more productive. In order to accomplish anything in life, you must first believe that you’re capable. So, instead of doubting your abilities, believe that you’re capable of being more productive and producing excellent work.

When you walk into work on Monday, remember these four tips.
