Can you remember where you put your keys last night? What about that mental grocery list you swore you didn’t need to write down? A bad memory can be stressful and frustrating. Here are three tips that will help you improve it:

One, don’t just think it—say it. You’re more likely to remember something if you hear it, and the more times the better! So, whether it’s a grocery list or a phone number you need to remember, try saying it aloud a few times.

Two, utilize notes and lists. Writing helps your brain commit something to memory—not to mention, you can also easily refer to the note or list for the information you need.

Three, stop multitasking. When you try to do too many things at once, your odds of doing anything well are low. If you need to remember something, focus your attention on that  information exclusively.

Put these three easy tips to the test to improve your memory.
