There will probably never be a more famous psychologist than Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund “Siggy” Freud. Dr. Freud pioneered therapeutic techniques such as the use of free association and discovered transference, but he’s probably best known for his theory of dreams, repression and, of course… his theory about mothers.
