Question: My practice serves many clients with PTSD who require longer sessions- 90 minutes. There appears to be no accommodation in the new CDs for that service.  What do you suggest?

Answer: Greetings Mary,
That’s a good question! You’re not alone in wanting to provide longer sessions, or back-to-back sessions, to clients who could really benefit from more services. In situations like this, you will need to get special authorization from the client’s/patient’s insurance company. I’ve seen this done! And I’ve seen such requests rejected too–it could really go either way. Eileen, one of my senior medical billers and I just recorded a video on this very topic. I hope this helps!
