I have known Stephanie for over six years and worked side by side with her in a mental health center for part of that time. What comes across first and foremost is her caring and concern for her clients and her determination to see that their needs are met. She brings to her work a wide range of experience and training along with confidence that is reassuring and a comfort to those in distress. She can deal calmly with the most severe issues as well as with problems of daily living. In the time that I've known her, she has been licensed in three different states to practice in a variety of settings. If you come to her in a time of need, in a time of emotional upheaval or difficult questions, I don't think you will find a more competent or more caring therapist.

A game changer for me!!

Without going on an on, but I may - - I feel that Stacey Franklin, my counselor, is literally the best kept secret (that I will not keep a secret) if you haven't met her - and if you have not been to Thriveworks yet, than that is the second best kept secret. Thriveworks is the most incredible counseling place that I have ever been to - when you walk in - it offers such a tranquil and serene atmosphere, where every counselor greets you with a very welcoming spirit. I have been to multiple counselors throughout my life, in multiple states, and it is without hesitation that this environment is incredible. When you call to schedule an appointment to meet with a counselor, they work really hard to try and match you with a counselor that best fits the struggles that you are going through - but at any point during your counseling sessions, if you feel that the match may not be perfect - they want you to be honest so that they can try and fix it, or match you with someone that may be a better fit for you within the practice or refer you to someone they know outside of the practice. That is what an amazing practice and counselor should do! Stacey is by far the BEST counselor I have every worked with. She is genuine, honest, skilled, raw, empathetic, compassionate, pneumatic, accepting, flexible, communicable, my safe place, and so VERY kind. Her aura is something I have never seen before and although I am on a life journey of discovery and acceptance, I am so thankful for her to be on this journey with me because I do not know what I would have done with out her. If you are reading this review and are wondering if this is the place for you - I challenge you to give it a shot - it was a life changer for me.

Great Therapy

Therapy that doesn’t feel like therapy.

At first, I was very apprehensive about therapy, but after my session with Mrs. Pinckney I feel more confident about it. She is so easy to talk to and relatable. I felt that she was genuinely understanding and invested in the process of healing. It was like talking to a friend. Like I said previously, at first I didn't even want to go, but after talking with her for an hour, I didn't want my session to end. I'm actually looking forward to our next visit.

We Just LOVE Gem

I have been taking my daughter to see Gem for right at a year now, and I couldn't be more happy. Finding the "right" person for your child is not always easy, but from day one Gem was able to develop a rapport with my daughter, and build a trusting and safe relationship with her. My daughter looks forward to her sessions, and actually has asked if she could go every day! We've seen much progress from our daughter and are so thankful we found Gem.

Algem is Great!

Thriveworks has a very professional, relaxing environment. The aromatherapy, the fountain, the entertainment in the waiting room. Everyone is helpful. I am greeted and it is made sure that I am seen promptly. At the same time, my appointment does not seem rushed. I feel that Algem is genuinely concerned about my health and well-being. We have good, fun, authentic conversation in session and she has made herself available to me anytime. Algem texts me and checks on me, and remembers upcoming things I may be encountering. In addition, she has let me know that sessions can be made affordable if I need to come in during this interim time when I have no insurance.

Wonderful choice for children and families

Thriveworks has provided a wonderful support system for my 8 year old son. Ms. Gem is amazing, caring and has a bubbly personality. You can't help but smile when your in the room with her. My son was in need of a safe and happy place to discuss his feelings and help with cognitive developement skills, Thriveworks has provided that for him. He continues to improve with the support staff they have in place. Ms. Gem has gone above and beyond to help our family with anything we need. We could not be happier.

Thriveworks In general is an amazing facility. It's peaceful and welcoming. Algem Is therapist and she's the best one I've ever had. She has a joyful spirit, and I ALWAYS leave with a smile on my face. I don't think I've ever been so excited to go to therapy before. They're great!

IT HELPS! The stigmatism of my heritage (African American) that therapy is something we donâ€™t do is so obsolete. I am both thankful and extremely grateful that I am able to experience a level of counseling that has enlighten me to think and react to things in a positive way that fosters growth. Good luck trying to get an appointment with these people. I filled out the online form... no response. So I called the office and left a voicemail. It's now the next day and I still have not heard back, so I started an Online Chat... after being on hold for 40 minutes, I gave up. Obviously they are too busy to schedule appointments; I will be trying a different provider.
