Philosophy of Care

Barbara is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has over 10 years of combined experience with children, adolescents, adults, and couples seeking help with school issues, depression, anxiety, anger, stress management, grief, health and relationship issues.  She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston Central Campus, a Master of Arts in Counseling, Master of Science in Human Sciences Marriage and Family Therapy and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University.

Barbara utilizes person centered therapy as a starting point between client and therapist.  She has empathy for the client and unconditional positive regard for people which means she respects them and will not judge then.  An atmosphere of warmth, genuineness, trust and acceptance is valued.  A combination of several approaches to counseling is emphasized which includes solution focused, rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), cognitive behavior therapy, and multi-generational therapy.  She welcomes and respects diversity.  Learning new ways to cope and meeting your goals means a better life and a brighter future.

Jasmyn Henderson, LPC

Philosophy of Care

Jasmyn Henderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas who has 10 years experience partnering with adults and couples seeking help with depression, anxiety, life transitions, work stressors and relationship issues. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Psychology and received her Master of Science in Psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University.  She specializes in Individual and Family Psychotherapy.

Jasmyn utilizes relational, collaborative, strength based, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness based, solution focused and emotionally focused approaches to therapy always maintaining the creativity, flexibility and awareness necessary to best meet the needs of every unique individual and couple.

Ruby Adjei, LPC

Philosophy of Care

Ruby Adjei is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas who has over 6 years of experience partnering with children, adults and families who are seeking help with addiction, anger, depression, anxiety, life transitions and trauma. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler and received her Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

Ruby utilizes a variety of treatment modalities that include cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, strength-based approach and trauma-informed care. All of Ruby’s therapy modalities will be designed to meet the unique and individual needs of the client and/or family.

Ruby seeks to establish a partnership with every client. She will assist each client in creating more meaningful experiences that will generate success in every area of life.  Ruby’s empathic and compassionate approach allows every client to experience develop and gain strategies for better living
