Absolutely. We offer both telephone counseling and video counseling sessions to clients who prefer online to in-person appointments. You can call us to schedule or book an online counseling session here.
Does Thriveworks offer psychiatry services like medication management?
Yes, we do! Some, but not all of our locations offer psychiatric/medication management services.
Does Thriveworks offer couples therapy?
Yes, we do! Couples therapy is one of our most sought-after services. We have couples therapists, marriage counselors, and other relationship experts on staff who can help clients improve their relationships.
Does Thriveworks offer child therapy?

What is a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW)?
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker is a masters- or PhD-level licensed mental health professional who is qualified to perform a variety of services related to assessing, diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental health disorders as well as other disturbances to one’s wellbeing. Depending on the state of licensure, a licensed professional might be designated a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). What is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)?
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is a licensed mental health professional with training and experience in helping both married couples / domestic partners and families to overcome difficult challenges. These professionals can treat mental health problems and also address family system and relationship problems, and they are trained to help client’s improve relationship/family dynamics. Can I pick the therapist I would like to work with myself?
Absolutely! We want your sessions to be successful and will tailor them to your needs. You can review our provider profiles online or you can give us a call and we’ll offer guidance based on specialties and certifications.
What is a professional counselor, LPC, LCPC, LPCC, LMHC?
A professional counselor is a masters- or PhD-level mental health professional who is approved by a state licensure board to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. For example, a professional counselor might help a client overcome depression or anxiety. In addition, a professional counselor can help clients with non-medical issues, like helping a couple better communicate and thereby improve their relationship. The exact name of a professional counselor’s license can vary by state but some of the most common are: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
What is a Licensed Psychologist?
Licensed Psychologists are highly trained mental health professionals who conduct counseling and therapy/psychotherapy sessions with clients. Licensing requirements vary by state, but typically to be a Licensed Psychologist one must earn a doctorate in psychology (PhD or PsyD), complete 2-3 years of post-graduate training in the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders, and meet other rigorous qualifications to become licensed in the specific state in which he or she will practice. Insurance and Enrollment at Thriveworks:
Does Thriveworks accept insurance?
Yes, we do! We accept many major insurance plans including Blue Cross, Anthem, Optum, United, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and many others. This can vary by location and by provider. How can I change my billing/payment method?
To ensure the privacy and security of your information, updating your payment or billing on your account can be achieved via a quick call to our scheduling specialists. Our team is available from Monday-Friday 7:00am-9:30pm, Saturday 7am-6pm, and Sunday 8am-5pm.
What if I can’t afford the enrollment fee?
At Thriveworks, we strive to be the absolute best place for people to get counseling. While we’re not the absolute lowest cost option, we’re not even close to the most expensive; often within a stone’s throw of any of our offices are providers who don’t accept insurance of any kind, charge over $200 per session, and don’t provide a fraction of the benefits or services our clients receive. So that we can continue to provide premium care, our clients support our unique practice by paying an enrollment fee. We believe this is a small cost, and an exceptional value, for clients who use our service. However, we do not make our practice inaccessible to clients who are unable or unwilling to pay. If this is you, kindly ask when booking your session and a waiver will be provided to you.
What if I’m not satisfied with the care I receive?

When you enroll with Thriveworks, your counselor is available to you between sessions by phone and email; you receive password-protected access to our app Therapy Buddy to help you make the most of your sessions; and you can enjoy text support through our Success Navigator to ensure that you are satisfied with your experience.
