Maranda Buchta, Resident in Counseling
Philosophy of Care
An ideal client would be someone who is willing to grow to be comfortable in a therapeutic environment. This client is prepared to make lasting changes in their lives and is someone seeking support and guidance to address addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety and other curveballs that life can throw. Their issues may also include LGBTQ challenges, ADD/ADHD, mood disorders and personality disorders. They may also be struggling with trauma or PTSD.
Therapy should start where the client is in their journey of growth and wellness. Applying different theories and modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, solutions focused, emotion focused, strengths based and person-centered theories are all commonly used by this therapist. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is also available for addressing trauma.
Maranda has always had a passion for helping others and found a path to do so in therapy. This is something she wants to share with others in providing support and guidance through her work. If you are someone who is interested in creating change, digging through trauma and past hurts, or just looking for temporary support through all that is occurring in life, this might be just the move to make!

Tammy Green, LCSW
I am Tammy Green, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Virginia. I received my Masters of Social Work from University of Southern California in 2017. I have worked with so many people in different walks of life. Most of my career has been spent helping those who struggle with addiction, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive personality disorder, ADHD, ADD, and trauma- just to name a few.
I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy. This means that therapy should be tailored to...YOU! What works for one person will not always work the same way for another. Therapy is an intimate experience, where you have to be comfortable with the therapist you choose, and the work you choose do to. As the client, you decide the goals and the direction of therapy, and I will use my experience, expertise and training to implement cognitive- behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution- focused therapy to assist you.
Through my experience I have learned that sometimes just having someone outside of our day-to-day lives can truly help us. It allows for us to take time for ourselves to vent, problem solve, or simply have someone to talk to. Therapy can sometimes be very scary, and overwhelming. I hope that through our work together, we can empower you to learn to make the best decisions for you and your life circumstances.
