Philosophy of Care
Amelie Gooding is a dually licensed mental health therapist and drug and alcohol counselor, who has over 30 years of experience in a variety of settings working with adults and adolescents seeking help with depression, anxiety, substance misuse and abuse, as well as life transitions, grief & loss, and relationship issues. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Vassar College and received her Master of Arts in Psychotherapy from Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Amelie utilizes collaborative, strength based, cognitive behavioral and solution focused approaches, along with motivational interviewing and a psychodynamic framework.
