Here in Texas, the LCSW license seems to be more highly valued by employers, particularly hospitals, and reimbursement rates are typically set a bit higher. The coursework is different in that it emphasizes the strengths perspective rather than the medical model, the person in the environment, and focuses on disempowered and disenfranchised populations.]]></description>
