I've been having a lot of trouble teaching my toddler to respect me. It's been so easy raising her when she was a baby, but she's at that out of control age. I've even considered taking her to a family counselor to help me find a more effective way to get her to show me and other adults more respect. I really liked your advice to act the way that I would like my child to act so that she'll mimic me. I'll give that a try and hope that method will work for my three year old. Thanks for the tips!

Christie, it is encouraging to hear (read) your observations on guiding the formation of child behavior. It takes commitment and consistency to do what you suggest. I hope your seed-planting will find fertile ground. Best wishes in your continuing work to strengthen families.
