I am a 65-year-old adult and had a total family fallout. I believe we have a dysfunctional family and me being the lost child/scapegoat/doormat, older sister and brother, lost children, middle brother - golden child, and younger sister, golden child/bully. My older sister was raising my deceased parents' cat, and I try to assist financially paying for the vet, food, meds, etc. She did not compensate for the caretaking in return, and her 50-year-old adult daughter didn't make the situation any better. I also asked them to let me have the cat for her end-of-life care since she was extremely allergic to fleas. It was unsuccessful and decided to ask them for recompensation for less than half of the vet bill. I helped out my younger sister financially for items and paying her daughter's phone bill on her account. Her daughter went out, bought a $1000 dog, and I told my sister I should be recompensated for the phone bill. Also, she threatens me with emotional distress, which also included her and my brother being my dad's health care agent, and left him dying only for three days until he went into cardiac arrest. I was five hours away, called him every day, and told me he was dying, and in turn, I called my sister pleading with her to be at the hospital since it would only take an hour's drive. Finally, all of this came erupted, and I had an emotional breakdown dealing with my siblings. I went to my primary doctor and was under care from three medical personnel (psychologist, behavioral counseling, and coach) for eight weeks. I was in low contact and now in no contact with my siblings. Low contact started in my 20s-30s. I was outraged and angry with them since I was seen but never heard while growing up. I am an introvert and hardly say anything but been to counseling on/off during the years. My dad's situation I went twice dealing with his death and my sister failure to show up, and this time it was everything in this narrative. It's so much trying to resolve some issues. I just know my sisters don't want to take responsibility or accountabiity for their actions.
