This happens a lot in the military. Very competitive and stressful environments bring out the worst in people. Insecure people form clicks so the can distract attention away from them and focus on the timid and weak. This is why suicide is so high in the Air Force today. But leadership is afraid to address the problem.

Been married for 6yrs and finally had enough of what I realized was gaslighting. Worse part my husband even acknowledged he had been going it for years. Seperated now, I not only can see the gaslighting events, I feel the peace and sanity restoring to my life with him gone. This article discribed me 100%. Where’s the article about breaking free from the insanity of a gaslighting spouse?

Believe I’m married 2 a gaslighter who had convinced me of behavior I now know is untrue. Difficult to speak as feel unwilling to defend myself to others. Crazy! After 15 years of marriage, the gaslighting was unexpected. I believed every word he said until my daughter explained gaslighting. Experience occurred in Oct of 2019 with him sleeping on the floor in the dining room because I did not do what he claims to be true. He’s either lying or doesn’t remember what occurred.
