some threaten to kill themselves, worse off to delude your image publically. They may threaten you with your weakest points, especially if their are children involved, things like they will never let you see the children if you don’t give in.

Yes. Basically if they threaten to do anything that has negative emotional consequences for you if you don’t comply with their wishes.

Run – run away! Or get help, if you really are prepared to do the work and think they really are also capable of being respectful of the process and doing the work themselves.

If you have a doubt as to whether they can be respectful… just run.
