In reply to <a href="https://twx.atlantacounseling.com/blog/10-questions-to-ask-before-youre-engaged/#comment-20116">Charles</a>.

Of course Charles. Put simply, a lot of the questions presented here are actually quite similar to the same ones to ask for second marriages, as well (only with a few other important questions). Naturally, experiencing a 2nd marriage later in life provides additional challenges to the relationship, mostly because the baggage from the previous marriage (maybe for both parties) will be present. In a way, this can actually work to your advantage, since you are wiser and more experienced thanks to your past marriage. In addition, children may come into the mix as well. My advice is to go over the questions in this article and add a few that are appropriate to your situation. Is this personal comfortable with the baggage (both pleasant and unpleasant) from my last marriage? How will my (or their) kids adjust to this? What positive lessons from my last marriage can I contribute to this one's success? And so on. Hope this helps Charles!
